capsule at Culture Days

Capsule was originally commissioned in December 2018 by The Dance Centre as a pop up performance.

In September 2019, the seed of Capsule was used to create a new dance piece as part of BC Culture Days at the CBC Plaza. This iteration was completely different from the 2018 version, keeping just the music by Onra and the overall mood of the characters.

The dancers in the piece act with a group mentality, a curiosity and an other wordly-ness. Like aliens dropped into a new world, the dancers explore the space and their individual predicaments with wide-eyed wonder, drama, and care.
