Deep Sea research in progress

Deep Sea Research in Progress, or DSRIP, was a 7 day residency at Left of Main studio in Vancouver, BC. In December 2020, Jenna Berlyn and Tia Kushniruk gathered a handful of dance artists and a lighting designer to explore ideas of beauty and decay in a collaborative and playful environment. This research was the first step towards creating a new dance theatre piece, and was funded by the Canada Council for the Arts.

The artists that were involved are Kenzie Bowes, Ileanna Cheladyn, Susannah Haight, Juolin Lee, Kevin Li and Calder White.

In October 2021, Jenna, Tia and Kenzie came together for another week of production and planning at SGSDance in Edmonton, AB.
